This course provides you the knowledge to understand the architecture of HPE Integrity NonStop™ X BladeSystems and prepares you to operate and manage them. Server architecture, configuration and operations are compared and contrasted between NonStop™ X and NonStop™ i (NB-Series) servers. The course is a combination of lecture, live demonstrations and exercises using HPE Integrity NonStop™ X BladeSystems.

After you successfully complete this course, expect to be able to:
  • Understand the architecture of the HPE Integrity NonStop™ X BladeSystem, which includes the NS3 and NS7 models
  • Understand intelligent rack and power
  • Understand the NonStop Maintenance LAN and the role of the NonStop System Console
  • List the differences in various areas between the NonStop™ X and NonStop™ i
  • List the differences of the IP, Storage and Open CLIMs between NonStop™ X and NonStop™ i
  • Knowing the modified SCF Cluster I/O Protocol (CIP) commands
  • Knowing the new CLIM commands
  • Become familiar with the updates to Open System Management (OSM) Service Connection
  • Become familiar with using the OSM Quick Start Tool, System Startup Tool (SST), System Configuration Tool (SCT), HSS/ HCA Firmware Management Wizard and the CLIM Receive Dump action
  • Understand Infiniband Clustering
  • Understand the NonStop Application Direct Interface (NSADI) technology
  • List the differences in the Measure Subsystem
  • Understand the basic migration and related considerations
