Hersteller-ID:
HJ7C0S
Trainings-ID:
HJ7C0S

Inhalt des Trainings

This training covers the steps necessary for installing and managing an HPE Composable Fabric using the HPE Composable Fabric Manager and HPE fabric modules (switches) with version 5.0. Students will learn about administration techniques using hands-on lab activities in a simulated environment. Includes 10 days for lab access starting at the first delivery class date.

After you successfully complete this course, expect to be able to:
  • Provide an understanding of the HPE Composable Fabric and its capabilities
  • Discuss the elements of an HPE Composable Fabric, the wiring options and necessary steps for building a Composable Fabric
  • Describe and demonstrate common and advanced Composable Fabric configurations
  • Provide a simulated Composable Fabric environment for configuration Lab activities
  • Prepare the student for day-to-day administration of Composable Fabric elements
  • Identify available Composable Fabric support services and procedures
  • Describe how to use the provided tools px-setup and px-psi to ensure a successful installation
  • Discuss and demonstrate integrations with HPE SimpliVity, VMware vSphere, and
  • Vware NSX. Users will perform laboratory exercises using simulated visualizations with SimpliVity and VMware data
  • Learn about Affinities and the Fitting engine process and use this simulated environment to build and visualize their own Affinities
  • Use the Guided Setup wizard to configure a new environment adding several virtual fabric modules.  Once modules are added, students will configure module ports, adjust port speeds, create/edit VLANs
  • VLAN Groups, Link Aggregation Groups (LAGs) & MLAGs (multi-LAGs), SNMP, NTP
  • DNS, sFlow, administer user accounts and certificates
  • Learn about packet forwarding and routing techniques used within and external to the Composable Fabric and perform hands
  • on laboratory exercises using both the Composable Fabric Manager UI and the px-shell Command Line Interpreter (CLI) to configure and validate BGP, OSPF
  • inter-VLAN and Static Routing to reinforce learning
  • Cover the general maintenance and upgrading of fabric modules, and the necessary steps to gather fabric information to provide to HPE support services for fabric diagnostics
  • Conclude with a discussion and links for contacting HPE support services
